The film also includes several familiar landmarks as it shows Sgt Turtle on an average day patrolling in Turnham Green Terrace and along Chiswick High Road.

He can be seen talking to local retailers and business people, including a chat at Connolly's pub, and with the staff of Nikki's coffee shop, a conversation with a street cleaner about fly tipping on the High Road, and he also ticks off a cyclist for cycling on the pavement and tells a local dogwalker to put her dog on the lead. He also has to deal with an incident where a bus clips the wing mirror of a car parked in Turnham Green Green Terrace.

Local PCSO Cheryl is also featured in the ten-minute slot on Chiswick. The programme also features a drugs raid in Hounslow, anti social behaviour and taxi marshalling in Bristol.

Sgt Turtle was previously Beat manager for Ravenscourt Park before coming to Chiswick last March. He said he really enjoyed the experience filming in the locality- which took over two hours last week.

"Basically it's a fly on the wall look at neighbourhood policing and I hope it reassures the good people of Chiswick that we're out there working hard to keep Chiswick safer", he comments.

His colleagues in Chiswick Police Station have been "very positive" in their reaction.

"The joke is instead of Dixon of Dock Green, I'm Dixon of Turnham Green", he quipped.

Street Patrol is made by Leopard Films.
