As the warm weather is now upon us I have been out and about advising residents to ensure all windows and doors are locked when unattended. This is also the case with vehicles. I have Tweeted this week that not only personal belongings but it could be your identity that is stolen. We are currently seeing a spike in theft from motor vehicles and if you see anyone looking into cars and loitering please call 101.

My team and I have also had to move several beggars on from around Turnham Green Tube and in the High Road. These people are mostly from Romania and do not appear to be homeless. My advice is not to give them money for several reasons. Your kindness could kill them. The money you give to those who beg may actually keep them on the streets or go to criminal networks. In most cases, you will be helping them to buy the drugs that could kill them. Give responsibly, support local charities instead.
