Southfield ward Councillor Andrew Steed met with Ealing Council’s Chief Executive to press for the fees to hold a street party, to be dropped or reduced.

After discussions it was announced today that the fees would be waived and that the application process would be simplified.

Councillor Andrew Steed said : “At a number of the Southfield ward forum meetings residents found it ridiculous that Ealing Council charged a huge fee compared to neighbouring Hounslow and Hammersmith Councils. This shows that the Liberal Democrats listen to residents and represent the residents of Chiswick and Acton by hopefully seeing more street parties in our area.”
