Panto tickets are on sale for the St. Michael's Players annual panto offering which will be ali Baba and the 40 Thieves , written by Ben Crocker.

It is being performed at St Michael’s Community Centre, Elmwood Road, Chiswick W4 3DZ from Wednesday 9 to Saturday 12 December at 7.45pm and Saturday matinee 4pm. There are still tickets available for Wednesday.

Following the success of A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Treasure Island, St Michael’s Players continues their 65th anniversary celebrations with another classic; Ali Baba & the 40 Thieves.

Scheherazade tells this classic story from the Arabian Nights of Ali Baba and the good citizens of Chiswickia as they fight with Sheikh Mustafa Leikh and his dwindling band of thieves for the looted treasure.

Classic panto fare from the Ben Crocker’s pen showcasing Mustafa’s confused sidekicks, Yessah and Nossah, Kamil the Camel, Mum’s snobby “friends” Loonah, Moonah and Noonah and in the midst of it all is our reluctant love struck hero Ali Baba and his perfectly normal family.

Chock full of panto goodness; great jokes, cracking songs, amazing dances and mind-blowing magic – it’s a must for the family trip out this Christmas.

Tickets:  £9 (£7 concessions, £5 children) when bought online www.stmichaelsplayers.org  (£10 on the door, if there’s any left)

St. Michael's Players is one of the longest-standing unpaid theatre groups in London. They have been staging plays in West London for over 60 years. They undertake to do 2 major performances a year, in the Spring and the Autumn, with a one-act play in the summer and a panto at Christmas.

Currently they rehearse and stage their plays at the St. Michael's Centre in Elmwood Road, W4, usually rehearsing on a Monday and Thursday evening. Their repertoire is very varied. They are constantly on the look out for new members to act, produce, direct, help backstage and front of house, with costumes and make-up.
