Strand Pupils Hold Their Annual 'Giving Day'

Donated gifts to 'That's A Wrap' charity for disadvantaged children

This year Strand on the Green Infant and Nursery School continued their tradition of holding their annual ‘Giving Day’.

Families generously donated gifts to support ‘That’s A Wrap’ a community group based in Hounslow that is looking to provide gifts of toys to disadvantaged children living in the local area this winter.

The group aims to collect a total of 2,000 toys for 9 local charities working on the frontline including charities such as local food banks, children’s hospices and family charities and those who would otherwise be excluded from festivities this winter.

The pupils explored the feelings behind giving and receiving gifts as well as learning about how Christians celebrate Christmas.
