Thousands are expected to attend Chiswick’s 3rd annual free Super Saturday of Sport on Turnham Green in Chiswick on July 11. The event will be opened at 11 am by sports broadcaster Kelly Cates, who is daughter of former Liverpool player and manager, Kenny Dalglish, and by Sebastien Foucan, the pioneer of freerunning and former James Bond star.

They will start the traditional mascot race at 11am.

The event’s schedule has been published and boasts an array of new activities for all ages to try including wheelchair rugby, trampolining, skate boarding and roller soccer.

The founder of Super Saturday Of Sport, Chiswick resident Kirsten Lonsdale says this year’s event promises to be even bigger than last year.

“I wanted to build on the extraordinary success of last year’s Super Saturday and then make sure we introduced new activities that people may have never considered trying before. The event is about discovering an active passion and I am convinced there is one for everyone.”

There is no need to register for taster sessions at Super Saturday but Kirsten is encouraging people to get there early this year as the event becomes more widely known.

“Chiswick residents have really embraced the event and many are telling me it has been in their diaries for months now. Its very exciting!”, Kirsten added.

Super Saturday of Sport will also be held for the first time at Feltham Park on August 22.
