Strand-on-the Green at High Tide through lens of Chiswick photographer

Chiswick photographer Ian Wylie captured this image of tranquility at high tide at Strand-on-the Green earlier this week. As residents of W4 know only too well, you can get your feet wet if you take a walk at the wrong time in the neighbourhood.

Customers of local riverside pubs, such as the Bell & Crown pub (pictured) sometimes have to abandon sitting outside as the natural world intrudes.

The towpath was submerged all the way until past the Kew Railway Bridge at the time.
