The first hearing for all the legal challenges to building the Third Runway at Heathrow will be heard in the Royal Courts of Justice on the Strand this Thursday 4 October

This may be the last chance to show the strength of the opposition in Chiswick to the Third Runway say CHATR the Chiswick based group campaigning against Heathrow expansion.

They say, "Please join us at Turnham Green Tube promptly at 8.30am on Thursday 4th October where CHATR will provide banners.

"We will travel to Temple and aim to have as strong a presence as possible outside the Royal Courts by 9.30am to show our support for the legal challenges.

"Inside the courts we understand there is a public gallery for those who would like to follow the proceedings

"Chiswick has not been part of the legal action but is directly affected with a new flight path directly overhead. They are looking for a show of strength of opposition in Chiswick to the Third Runway. "

The hearing of the 4 October will determine what is heard and which of the claims might be conjoined. The claimants are:

5 councils (Wandsworth, Richmond, Hillingdon and Windsor plus Greenpeace and Mayor of London) Friends of the Earth, Plan B Earth, Heathrow Hub, Neil Spurrier.

The hearings, themselves, are likely to be in March 2019.
