A charity concert will take place at St. Michaels and All Angels Church, Bedford Park, Chiswick on 17th October 2012 7:30pm featuring a selection of trumpet music, as well as a string quartet.

Tickets £10.00, concessions £8.00.

"From Past to Present" will be featuring the Fitzwilliam String Quartet and Chrispian Steele-Perkins, the well-known trumpeter, who will be performing music by Mozart, Handel, Schostokovich, Bernstein and Glenn Miller.

The Quartet will play Mozart on period instruments in the first half of the concert, but change to modern for Schostokovich in the second half. Mr. Steele-Perkins will show the development of the trumpet through the ages from the 17th-century to the present, with a selection of music ranging from Bach, to West Side Story.

This is the second concert in a series of eight to raise funds for the newly formed Dorothy Croft Trust for Young Musicians.

All proceeds go to the charity and the artists have waived their fees for this concert.
