Vicar Of Baghdad Visits Chiswick
Speaks about his life in the Middle East at the Christian Centre
Canon Andrew White, who is known as the 'Vicar of Baghdad', will speak at the Chiswick Christian Centre, Fraser Street on Sunday, October 14th at 11 am.
He has featured in an ITV documentary by Chiswick-based journalist Rageh Omaar which focused on his ministry in the midst of the chaos of Baghdad during the recent turbulent times.
He has a passionate love for the Iraq people and is deeply loved by the 1500 strong congregation of St. George's, of which 400 are thought to have been killed in violence, and eleven of his Church Council have been abducted.
The Canon is also the President of FRRME, a non-profit organisation dedicated to finding peaceful solutions to conflicts in the Middle East, prompting peace and reconciliation.
