Chiswick Riverside ward had the highest voter turnout of the three local wards in the elections. According to the figures released by Hounslow Council;

Riverside ; 40.05%, (68% in 2010), followed by Chiswick Homefields ; 39.10% ( 67.9% in 2010). Turnham Green showed the lowest turnout at 35.26% (2010- 63.7%)

The overall voter turnout for the local Elections in the borough was 36.8%. Highest voter participation rate in the borough was Hounslow South ward = 44.35 %

Counting started at 10 am at the Civic Centre in Hounslow and results are expected this afternoon.

The average turnout in the last local election in 2010 was 60% though it was expected to be much lower this time- the higher figure was due to a general election vote on the same day which usually generates a higher participation rate.

 

In the borough of Hounslow voters will be selecting 60 councillors in twenty wards to represent them. The voter turnout as released by Hounslow Council is:

Hounslow West = 37.61%,

Isleworth 39.75%,

Osterley & Spring Grove 36.64%,

Syon 37.52%,

Turnham Green 35.26%

:Heston East = 33.63%,

Heston West = 40.5%

Hounslow Central = 33.23%

Hounslow Heath = 33.8%

Hounslow South = 44.35

Feltham North = 37.26%,

Feltham West = 32.36%

Hanworth = 33.94%

Hanworth Park = 38.02

Heston=37.66%

Bedfont = 37.5%,

Brentford = 34.58%,

Chiswick Homefields = 39.10%

Chiswick Riverside = 40.05%,

Cranford = 36.42%

There are 1,850 seats up for election in London and will have the results
