With two inspiring autumn concerts closing 2015, the West London Sinfonia starts 2016 with a celebration of Shakespeare in Music on the 400th anniversary of his death. The concert will take place on the 6 February at St Michael and All Angel’s Church, Bedford Park at 7.30pm.

So many composers have been inspired by Shakespeare’s characters and themes, that it was really hard to fashion a programme for a single evening, but they managed to choose eight fantastic composers, united by one legendary writer. The WLS have teamed up witjh undergraduates from the Chiswick Arts Educational School to create a sequence of music accompanied by readings of the texts, to portray passion, regret, hilarity, anger, idealism – a sample of human life.
