The annual Christmas Lights switch on will take place in Chiswick on Thursday 26 November at 6 pm.

Workmen started putting the lights up yesterday (Nov 16th) in readiness for the official lighting up ceremony.

This year there will be something new on offer with a Christmas food and craft market, 12-9pm.

The event takes place outside the George IV pub, Chiswick High Road with the involvement of Chiswick Business Collective, Shop Chiswick & Fullers.

Local councillor Paul Lynch will be MC for the event which will be preceded by carol-singing primary schoolchildren from St Mary's RC School.

Fuller's, who sponsor the event, provide the traditional shire -horses.
