Chiswick boy Spike White (13) is playing a leading role in a movie featuring Pudsey the dancing dog. The talented pooch won Britain's Got Talent last year and since then has become a household name, met the Queen and won a huge book deal.

Spike, who is currently on location in the south of England, plays the character George, one of three siblings who take in a stray dog, played by Pudsey. Little Britain star and BGT judge David Walliams is the voice of Pudsey and the dog's owner Ashleigh Butler also has a role, along with Scottish actor John Sessions, who plays a 'baddie'.

The film being made by Simon Cowell's Syco Entertainment, is set for big screen release in May 2014. Pudsey who has his own Twitter account, has posted that he is enjoying all the attention but is somewhat " exPAWsted" from filming.

The movie is described as a "heartwarming story" in which London stray dog, Pudsey is taken in by a family but then stumbles across an evil plan and determines to save the family and their village. The film is directed by Nick Moore ( Horrid Henry) and is based on a script from children's TV writer Paul Rose.

Spike, who lives in Chiswick is a regular at the Chiswick Comedy Club and attends Sylvia Young Theatre school in London. He is a great dog lover so the role of working with Pudsey is both a thrill and a very natural activity for him.

Filming is "great fun", he says, but sadly it does not get him out of school work because he has to have a tutor on set for the five weeks he is filming to teach him between scenes.

Best bit so far? Working with the stunt trainer who taught him falls and jumps that are needed as part of the action.

Worst bits so far? There are lots of spiders in the current country side location. Not his favourite form of life! And the early morning pickups from home are even earlier than the school run!

Talented dog Pudsey

The part came about through his agent at The Sylvia Young Agency. Spike first met the Pudsey casting agent for an unrelated TV series, and was subsequently called back to audition for Pudsey. He was then asked to meet the Director and learned of his success while on an early summer holiday in Palma.

Spike's ambition is to work both sides of the camera, he loves acting and also loves making his own films. He regularly makes short films and while working he has been lucky to spend time at the monitor with directors.

Performing runs in the family. His sister also attended The Sylvia Young Theatre School and both have been acting professionally from the age of 9.

Spike has two siblings, both of whom are involved in performing. His sister Sydney Rae (21) was recently seen in lead roles in the TV series Starlings and Young Dracula and is the star in the Samsung global TV and Big Screen feature advert (shortly to be shown in 48 countries) for their new Smart Watch, the first wearable smart phone.

In addition Sydney Rae, with her 18 year old brother Cameron (an ex Brit School student and a musician, producer and song writer) also lead a band called The Wild Things. See the Tumblr link for a video and photos. http://thewildthingsuk.tumblr.com/

Their band is producing their first studio album and will start performing across London from September, including Oxjam in Chiswick.

Spike's previous credits include:. Annabelle's Kitchen on TV, and he has appeared in the film The Awakening.

His theatre credits include playing Percival in Lord of the Flies (Regents Park open air theatre) and he has appeared in several adverts including those for BT, Coco Pops, Disney, Littlewoods and First Choice Holidays.
