The Youth Club that was founded by a Chiswick resident following the shooting in the face of her teenage son, is celebrating its fifth year in operation. Sally Chacatte writes:

As we sit and reflect that it was 5 years ago that our wonderful son Oli was randomly shot in the face by a group of young men with no boundaries and nowhere to go, it is a good time for us to celebrate what W4 Youth has achieved since then and to look back on 2013 celebrating another great year -

CLUBS

Our 5 night a week clubs are going from strength to strength.  We have dance, drama, glee, art, cooking and youth club and are considering pilates, zumba and a number of sports teams to keep the local young people safe and give them support to gain new skills.

DRAMA EVENT – 3 FEBRUARY 2013 – HARRODIAN SCHOOL

Our brilliant drama club will be performing their powerful play around the difficult issue of drugs and young people.  There will be two performances at 5.15pm and 7.30pm.  More details to follow shortly.

FUNDRAISING ; Our fundraising continues to go well with a number of events coming up and a once of the local schools will be announcing we will be their chosen charity over the coming months.

GREENDAYS - We’ll be there in June as always.

OXJAM - Having sponsored the Under 18s Battle of the Bands event at Chiswick School and the Oxjam main event in October we plan to do the same again this year in October.  Hopefully a number of our glee club will perform again.

Thank you for your continued support and Happy New Year to you for 2014.
