Upmarket restaurant, deli and shop on Brickoven site

The former Brickoven Milano premises on Chiswick High Road is to become another Italian restaurant although this time there will also be a deli and a shop on the site.

Following the demise of Brickoven Milano last October a deal is expected to be finalised shortly for the new 'upmarket' restaurant.

The theme of having a deli and shop on site is somewhat similar to the Carluccio chain, selling fresh and imported foods alongside the restaurant. The theme of the new business will be a "lifestyle" one.

Details of the new restaurant have not been confirmed although it is thought this is its first UK venture. There is a large interior space which during Brickoven's tenure contained a main restaurant, cafe and a children's play area - the site also has a large outside patio garden.

Brickoven Milano had been on the site for almost a year. Brickoven replaced Bardolino which had in its turn replaced Frankie's, thus the new business continues the connection of Italian food to the location.
