Restaurant and wine bar Carvosso's at 210 Chiswick High Road looking for somebody new to take over.

The property has been put up to let with a well known London restaurant property firm offering a total size of almost 6,000 sq feet and instruction that "the property is available on a new lease".

Carvosso's Chiswick

It is understood the owners had attempted to sell initially.

Carvosso's at 210 is situated in a 17th century building that has been converted by the owners from a former police station and stables into a large bar, two restaurant dining areas, a sitting room and four private function rooms, all wrapped around a stone courtyard.

Many or the original period features have been maintained, including 19th century carved oak panelling and exposed brick walls, and the walls are covered in an eclectic mix of original artwork. Visitors to Carvosso's can find them sitting in a side room that used to be the cell of the police station.

One locally-based restaurateur has looked at the property with a view to turning it into a Moroccan restaurant.
