The former Japanese restaurant Chisou could be turned into flats.

A planning application has been lodged to change the building into three self-contained dwellings. The application calls for the erection of a roof extension and first-floor extension with staircases to form a maisonette at second and third floor levels.

Chisou, in Barley Mow Passage, closed in November 2014. The upmarket restaurant and sake bar opened three years ago on the site of the former Chakalaka premises.

It has been lying vacant since the closure.

No objections have yet been lodged to the application.
