After a devastating fire that destroyed most of the original buildings, Esporta’s Riverside Health and Racquets Club will re-open this spring.

The new 155,000 sq ft facility (25,000 sq ft larger than previously) will house 15 covered tennis courts an additional 25m outdoor heated pool with an integrated 8m children’s pool, an extended indoor lane pool, together with a leisure pool and under 4’s paddling pool.

The 10,000 sq ft fitness area will be located on the second floor of the club an extensive range of new equipment.

The biggest step forward for the club in terms of design and layout is the new spa area, which will also operate as an independent day spa. Features include treatments rooms and a new hydrotherapy pool. A Sports Therapy unit will offer a wide array of alternative treatments for both members and the general public.

The restaurant has been re-designed with a new adult dining area offering an a la carte menu and table service. Other features include a separate family dining area and internet lounge and a function and cinema room.

The expected opening date is set for April.
