Natalizi Cafe on Chiswick High Road has closed suddenly this week.

The popular cafe and sandwich bar at 295 Chiswick High Road had been open for over 15 years having been set up by Amara and Ratco Pehar who came to Chiswick from Bosnia.

It was voted as providing the best breakfast in Chiswick by a poll run on this site back in 2008. Customers were treated to a free piece of fruit or a bag of crisps after enjoying their sandwich.

The owners were warning at the weekend of the possibility of imminent closure and the business shut up shop on Wednesday. We have been unable to reach the owners to confirm the reason for the closure but according to one of their customers they decided to retire and have sold the business rather than needing to close due to a rent increase.

The windows at the premises are now covered with newspaper and a sign that says 'Cafe 295 opening shortly.
