Following the recent announcement of plans to open a Rock and Rose restaurant in the centre of Chiswick more new arrivals appear to be on the horizon.

The popular deli and cafe The Italians is intending to take over the former site of the Vietnamese restaurant Caphe Guests just two doors down from its current premises to open a pizza restaurant and wine bar. The Italians already served pizza from their existing premises but departure of a pizza chef led to an interruption causing much disappointment for regular customers.

The new premises should enable a significant expansion of the existing limited table capacity of the current premises which will remain open. The new restaurant is currently expected to start serving customers in the spring.

The premises vacated by travel agent Flight Centre at 320 Chiswick now has hoardings announcing the imminent opening of The Sushi Co. The web site address given is not yet active and no licensing application or planning application appears to have been submitted as yet.

Many local residents hope that an improvement in the terms of leases for businesses on Chiswick High Road is enabling independent restaurants to re-establish themselves there and reduced the increasing dominance of chains that was seen before the pandemic.

Lorraine Angliss owner of Annie's recently confirmed that she had taken over the prime site at 270-272 Chiswick High Road formerly occupied by Bill's to open another branch of Rock and Rose which is one of Richmond's top rated restaurant and cocktail bars.
