French street artist ZABOU has created a new mural on a wall just off Chiswick High Road.

The artwork entitled ‘Spring’ is next to the Villa di Geggiano restaurant and features singer songwriter Eva Lazarus who coincidentally has recorded at the nearby Metropolis Studios.

UK based ZABOU uses walls around the world as her canvasses to create photorealistic murals. She starts with a photoshoot and then uses that as the basis for a hand painted mural.

She has taken part in festivals and art projects from Europe and Asia to South America, and aims to make the planet more colourful one wall at a time.

Her first solo exhibition at the Saatchi Gallery will be held shortly.

When she saw the mural Eva Lazarus posted on Instagram, “My mind is blown and I don’t think I’ll ever recover. I’m just so honoured! She’s such and incredible artist and Villa De Geggiano is such a gorgeous spot. I went to see the wall this week, It’s even better in person. Go see it, then go drink a Nostalgia Di Amalfi @ the restaurant”.

Villa di Geggiano is currently offering al fresco dining in its garden and is taking bookings for the inside of the restaurant from 17 May.
