The new burger chain which has opened on the former site of The Cabin has launched its move to Chiswick with a novel marketing ploy.

Honest Burgers sent postcards to 1,000 people who responded to an invitation on its Facebook page last month saying; 'Chiswick, we're coming for you. Sign up now for burgers ?? and brunch ?? ON US. Doors open Mon 06 March'.

Eagle-eyed locals who spotted the offer and responded were asked to give their postal address and a postcard was sent to them which will allow them to avail of the free offer.

A spokesman said that locals can pop down with their postcards any time up until 16 April, no bookings required. The chain has several branches throughout London and opened its Chiswick branch last weekend.

postcard offering free burger at local restaurant

This replaces an earlier idea to give out 500 free burgers on Saturday March 11th. A spokesperson said that sending postcards ensured that only local people would be in line for the offer.

They say they offer simple, high quality burgers that make the most of great British ingredients.

The chain is owned and operated by Honest Burgers’ founders Tom and Phil.

Their local brewery is Weird Beard in Ealing (Hanwell) and the restaurant sells their Mariana Trench beer, which is an American-style pale ale.

"It’s been a great first few days with five cases sold," they said.
