In the warmer months French doors open onto a very large patio garden for alfresco drinking and dining and lit by 1000 twinkling lights.

The Barley Mow is now a light and airy pub, after its complete refurbishment.

It’s a great local where you can come with family and friends to eat, drink and relax.

Outside there’s a big garden with umbrellas and heaters. Inside there are tall tables at the front for watrching the big screen and a cosy snug area with sofa & fireplace st the back. And there’s a lovely dining room decorated with historical photos of Chiswick. Food is served between 12-10pm every day with Sunday roasts & BBQ’s in the summer.

Member comments: A warren of inter connected rooms gives this pub plenty of nooks to hideaway in. The refurbishment has received mixed reviews with some feeling the authenticity of a pub, that at one point was the HQ for Oliver Cromwell, has been undermined. The catering has been upgraded and now serve superior bar food at superior prices. There appears to be a tendency to discourage children although there is no stated policy.
" They have managed to change the interior quite drastically whilst keeping an authentic look to it. ... Also I was pleased to find out that the drinks prices have remained the same."
" The heavy-handed strip out has destroyed the genuine sense of history and it's been replaced with the synthetic and unconvincing substitute you can find anywhere. "
"now sells nuts and olives but not crisps"
