It was more than three years ago when Juxta Base Ltd, (JB Bar & Diner) took over the old John Bull.

What was an old rock and Roll venue neglected for years, has now been taken back to its former Victorian glory, with contemporary fixtures and fittings and new facilities for all.

"We have reached the stage where the venue can be turned back towards a community facility," says proprietor Richard Mogliany,

"We will be showcasing the site from Sunday July 8th for six consecutive weeks. So whatever you have historically been told about the venue is now myth, come and try us, you’ll be in on the stuff of legends."

These showcase sessions are Sunday lunchtimes from July 8th with Rhythm Kitchen “Ike Leo Trio”

"Our lunch menu will consist of a range of traditional Sunday roasts for adults and kids – This is supplemented by our normal menu and a new kids menu.

"We also have the “Bouncy Garden” these are inflatable bouncers & slides for your children during these hours. These are free to use for our customers' children."

The everyday menu offers breakfasts, salads, soups and sandwiches. Main courses start from a modest £5.20 and include burgers, pasta, curry and steak.
