Chiswick hotel to host both teams in the Heroes Rugby Challenge
Now the Rugby World Cup 2011 has come to its thrilling conclusion, sporting fans can turn their attention to the ‘Heroes Rugby Challenge’ (www.heroesrugby.org.uk). Some of the greatest rugby players from around the world will line up at Twickenham Stadium on Saturday 3 December 2011, and the Chiswick Moran Hotel is proud to be ‘home’ for both teams for the week of the match.
The match aims to raise a substantial sum of money for Help for Heroes, the charity which provides practical support for wounded service men and women. The two teams will comprise of players selected from the northern and southern hemisphere professional game and the best players from the Armed Forces.
England World Cup winners, Lawrence Dallaglio and Jason Leonard, together with Welsh legend, Ieuan Evans, will manage the H4H Northern Hemisphere XV against an all-star Southern Hemisphere XV side which will be overseen by Australian and All Black World Cup winners Michael Lynagh and Sean Fitzpatrick.
Both teams will be hosted at the Chiswick Moran Hotel, a four star deluxe West London hotel, home to The Globe Bar and Napa restaurant. A haven of retro chic, the hotel will provides the perfect base for the players, managers and support staff.
The hotel has built a reputation amongst rugby fans as the place to stay when visiting Twickenham and The Globe Bar is the place to be to watch sporting events on the big screens. By hosting both teams during the build up to the game, further allegiances will be made with the rugby community.

This year’s fixture, which will mark the tenth anniversary of Britain’s Armed Forces Operations in Afghanistan, promises to be an even bigger attraction than the first Help for Heroes match in 2008 when over 52,000 spectators helped raise £1.46m for Help for Heroes.
