Jenny Russell, General Manager of Shackology, has introduced some new elements to the Grade II listed, former Crown and Anchor pub on the High Road.

“We wanted to add to our range of beers and ciders so have introduced draught Kirin Ichiban, Red Stripe and Erdinger wheat beer.

"We’ve added a few retro cocktails too, for fun, and are going nostalgic with pork scratchings (according to the LA Times the latest diet fad on the West Coast!).

"Chef, Kath Lynch, has added a few small dishes (Charcuterie and Breads £8.50; Three Cheeses with Oatcakes £8.00; and Cumin Hoummus with Crostini £4.50) to the menu for customers who are just looking for something to munch on when they come in for a drink and we’ve extended our Supper Menu to give more choice in the evenings.”

Jenny adds, “We’ve also brought in some more sofas to add to the relaxed, holiday feel of Shack and we’ve introduced on-line booking to make it even easier to arrange a get-together.”

Shack is a combination of bar, café and restaurant and is open from 9am to 11pm seven days a week for Breakfast, Morning Coffee, Lunch, Afternoon Tea and Supper. The bar is open all day.
