Sports in Chiswick

After a successful season last year, Chiswick and Latymer Cricket Club is gearing up for another big season. Winter nets at Lords have been well attended and with the first games less than a month away, everyone is keen to get the season under way.

Last year saw the 1st X1 cement their place in division 2A of the Morrant Thames Valley League after promotion the year before. The 3rd XI won their division and will play in 4B this year. The 2nd, 4th, and 5th were all challenging for promotion last year and expectations are high for further success in 2005.

The Sunday 1st XI will be defending their Fullers Sunday Old Boy’s League crown and the Sunday 2nd and 3rd X1’s will also be looking for some good results this season.

One of the highlights of last year was the number of young players coming through our extensive colts programme, and performing with distinction in the senior teams. Chiswick and Latymer runs colts programmes both at Chiswick House and at our Whitton Ground, with various age groups from Under 11’s to Under 17’s.
