PHC Chiswick travelled to mid-table West Hampstead on Saturday looking to continue their good form and maintain their top of the table position.

Chiswick started the game well and dominated possession and scored in the 5th minute when top scorer Nayan Maken finished off a well worked short corner to put the away team 1-0 up.

Chiswick then continued to push forward and after a long spell of possession it was Maken again who converted the 2nd goal after 15 minutes with a powerful shot from the top of the circle.

Chiswick grabbed a 3rd after 25 minutes through Mitch Jamaison to go 3-0 up before West Hampstead pulled one back just before half time to make it 3-1 at the interval.

West Hampstead came out in the 2nd half the stronger and despite some good chances couldn’t find away past the Chiswick defence.

The remainder of the 2nd half was a scrappy affair with neither team taking charge and despite West Hampstead scoring a 2nd goal in the 67th minute Chiswick hung on for another valuable 3 points.

Chiswick now go into an important final two games before Christmas with a home game against Wallingford on Saturday.
