A Chiswick-based lacrosse team is looking to encourage more boys to take up the sport.

Richmond Lacrosse recently started a junior boys and girls lacrosse team based at the King's House Sports Ground near Dukes Meadows. Spaces on the girls team quickly became over-subscribed but take up has been slower for the boys.

Richmond Lacrosse ("The Stags") was founded in April 2021 to introduce one of the fastest growing team sports in the country to youngsters in West London.

The under-12s tea are looking for players from years 4,5,6 and the winter term runs until 12 December. They say they have the core of a team already and just need five to ten more boys.

All equipment is provided, and no experience is required. The boys will benefit from coaches with international experience, providing them the opportunity to excel in one of the fastest growing sports in the UK.

The sessions take place on Sunday mornings from 10.30am-12pm.

This site remains committed to providing local community news and public interest journalism.

Articles such as the one above are integral to what we do. We aim to feature as much as possible on local societies, charities based in the area, fundraising efforts by residents, community-based initiatives and even helping people find missing pets.
