It's All About The Beautiful Game - Old Meadonians' past, present and future

With the vagaries of the league’s Fixture Committee again becoming obvious Old Meadonians first team found themselves without a game last Saturday.

However, their reserves showed themselves well able to take to the limelight and, as befits London Old Boys Intermediate Cup holders, to show that they will be reluctant to yield up possession by administering a sound foot-balling lesson to an eager but underpowered Old Sedcopian team from four storeys below them in the league.

Although lucky to be three up at half time, through Barry McGuinness, an own goal and Jeusy Netto, Meads coasted through the second period adding to their tally with Netto finishing off his hat-trick and Misha Mantel, Nick Wilson and Ed Glover chiming in with one apiece. Young Jake Gowers stormed through the game to win the MoM award.

Squad: Kenny, Gowers, Toher, Gahan, Chapman, Mantel McGuinness, Sheda, Glover, Netto, Wilson.
