CS Stags 48 Brentwood 21

In the last match of the current league programme, Stags strolled to a comfortable victory on home turf with an eight-try demolition of Brentwood, who have now completed their year in the London Premier League and will be looking to bounce straight back.

A second half hat-trick from full back James Houstoun and one a piece from: Adam Nixon, Josh Forrester, Ryan Martin, Liam Cleary, and Matt Pollen did the damage.

For CS Ollie Fulljames crossed the line twice but neither counted due to alleged offences in the build up, the telling reaction of two Brentwood officials to the first of which was “How was that a penalty to us?”

A well-earned rest is the reward for the players after this tough first season back in level 5 of the English league rugby structure, after which CS will be targeting a much higher league position in 2019/20 than this year.
