Two sisters from Chiswick are on the path to Olympic success in the future in the sport of Taekwondo.

16-year-old Darcey Stenzel and her 10-year-old sibling Perdy are both members of the Chiswick Ilyeo Taekwondo club which is based in the Hogarth Youth Centre at the bottom of Duke Road.

Darcey has already had a string of successes in the sport having been selected to join the British Taekwondo GB Cadet squad back in 2020. She continues to impress at overseas competitions winning Gold at the Sweden Open and Bronze at the Spanish Open this year.

Following in her big sister’s footsteps, Perdy has also been selected to join the Cadet squad a year earlier than qualification age after becoming national champion. Reportedly she has excelled during training at the National Taekwondo Centre in Manchester.

llyeo Taekwondo Club aims to be a friendly and very progressive martial arts school which runs classes for both adults and children of all abilities.
