Unveiling our bodies this summer can be a daunting prospect and it’s around this time of year that we find ourselves asking ‘what exactly can I do to achieve my perfect beach body? Our team at TenPilates are here to help you find the answer.

A Personal Training session at TenPilates is a great way to kick start your journey to a new beach ready you. Personal training sessions include a full postural assessment and home training program, and with an array of new state of the art equipment and team of expert trainers we will help you to identify your goals and achieve them with a personalised program of training. Our Dynamic Pilates classes are also an excellent way to give you a slimmer figure and lean, toned muscles, ready for the beach.

As we all know, nutrition plays a very important part in the way we look and feel, so Tenpilates have teamed up with The Pure Package - the only UK Company of its type to offer freshly prepared, ethically sourced and convenient meals direct to your door. The TenPilates ‘Pre Pack’ is a combination of London’s leading exercise and nutrition programs. It lasts for 30 days and includes:

• 20 days of food from The Pure Package to be enjoyed Monday to Friday
• 12 Dynamic Pilates classes from TenPilates, to be taken as three sessions per week

Whilst it is not a ‘quick fix’ it is an ideal springboard to launch you into better health and a re - shaped body ready for the beach.

Now you have taken that all important first step, it helps to have some hints to keep you motivated and on track to achieve your goal. Here are a few that our clients have found helpful in the past.

• Realise your goals. You can definitely change your body if you work hard and stay motivated and the best way to do both is to set small achievable goals. Reaching them feels great and pushes you on to new heights.
• Focus on you. Try not to get caught up in all the supermodel/celebrity hype or worry about what everyone else looks like. By all means admire other people, but don’t lose sight of what you can realistically achieve, its all about you after all.
• Stay off the scales. Many things affect your body weight, not just the amount of body fat you have. A better way to measure your success is to go shopping: there’s nothing more rewarding than fitting into a smaller dress/jeans size.
• Keep an eye on your diet. Drink plenty of water each day, eat a solid breakfast of slow-release carbs (e.g porridge or muesli) and increase your intake of fruit and veg (ideal for snacks between meals). Definitely lay off the fast food and rethink those extra few drinks at the weekend.
• Prioritise your exercise. The feel-good ‘endorphin kick’ achieved by engaging in regular intense exercise like the TenPilates workout will help to keep you motivated, just make sure you allow yourself time to get to the studio at least twice a week.
• Increase your incidental activity. You’ll be amazed how quick it is to walk between most Tube stops, and beat the line for the escalator by walking up the steps. Try to do a little every day and spread your exercise out over the week. Half an hour a day is all it takes to get the ball rolling. Every little bit helps.
• Involve your friends and family. They will want to see you succeed and be happy, so having them support and/or train with you is a great way to keep on track when you’re feeling like a day off.

I hope that these tips have been helpful and on behalf of all the team wish you the best of luck with your future training. For more details on personal training sessions, classes and the pre pack give us a call in studio on 0208 9961710 or visit www.tenpilates.com.
