An application has been made by Le Vacherin to Ealing Council for an extension of their licensed hours.

The French Restaurant at 76/77 South Parade wants to extend opening times from 10am to 1am Monday to Saturday and 10am to midnight on Sunday. This would include the serving of alcohol and the playing of recorded music. They also wish to remain open until midnight on Christmas Eve and 1am on New Year’s Eve.

The application has attracted some local opposition with one resident displaying a poster urging objections (see below).

Other residents have pointed out that any application in the area could be deemed invalid because the newspaper in which Ealing Council suggests applicants publish the statutory notice is not distributed in the area.

If you wish to make representations you can write to the Licensing Team at Perceval House, 14-16 Uxbridge Road, Ealing W5 2HL or email licensing@ealing.gov.uk not later than 9 August 2018.

Representations must relate to one or more of the four licensing objectives.
1. Prevention of crime and disorder
2. Public safety
3. Prevention of public nuisance
4. Protection of children from harm

Anonymous representations cannot be accepted and copies of representations will be included in reports to the licensing sub-committee and therefore will pass into the public domain. It is an offence liable on conviction to a fine up to knowingly or recklessly make a false statement in connection with an application.
