The latest lockdown was announced as we were in the middle of planning our marketing and advertising for the coming months.

When considering what imagery to use for our billboard slot we had the idea to put a local child's artwork up in lights and with the advertising space secured for 3 weeks, we realised 3 winners could have their creations displayed.

What home means to them

More than just four walls, home means many things to each of us, but what does ‘home' mean to our children?

We're in search of artwork from local children that represents ‘home' as they see it.

It might be a drawing of family members, an image of the house they live in or a painting of their bedroom.

Whatever their methods in creating an image of their home, be it painting, sketching or using crayons, we want to see their artwork.

Between home schooling and home working most parents and carers at home schedules are incredibly busy which is why for this competition comes with prizes for all the family to enjoy.

The winners not only have the excitement of seeing their artwork displayed on the High Road but will receive a family hamper filled with gluten free food to take the pressure off for a few meals and the cherry on top – a £50 voucher for Mummy Wine Club.

Prize details

The top 3 drawings will each be on the display board on Chiswick High Road above Joe and the Juice for 1 week each from the 1st February to 21st February. The artwork will run every 4 minutes for 10 seconds meaning it will be on show 360 times per day!

We've teamed up with the wonderful 1990 Gluten Free Homemade, who create delicious Italian goodies. The top 3 artists will also receive a family hamper containing gluten free delights such as cookies, brownies and homecooked family meals.

The 1st prize hamper has a retail value of £250, 2nd prize a value of £150 and the 3rd prize a £75 hamper.

The parents of the top 3 winners will also receive a £50 voucher for the Mummy Wine Club.

Chiswick Property market

It's January, we're in lockdown, the weather isn't great, and we're encouraged to stay at home as much as is possible. The property market remains open with strict precautions in place.

There are many differences this time around, there's definitely less talk of banana bread and we've not been invited to a zoom quiz yet. The vaccine that is being rolled out across the country is providing us all with new hope.

By no means has it been a slow start to 2021 for us in the Horton and Garton Chiswick office. We've seen steady activity since our return after the Christmas break with several new instructions and sales being agreed – if you're looking for a beautiful home in Chiswick do get in touch
