Chiswick local Iyesha Warner joined around 11,000 runners including mums and grans, sisters and aunties, friends and workmates, toddlers and teenagers, who all ran together in a spectacular sea of pink to raise money for Cancer Research UK. She was sponsored by local fixed fee estate agent OliverFinn.

The five-kilometre Tesco and Cancer Research UK Race For Life took place in Hyde Park on July 17th and was one of over 300 similar events held across the UK on the day.

Women and children of all ages were involved to remember a loved one or raise money for a family member, friend or colleague fighting cancer. Some women took part despite being in the midst of their own battle with the disease and were no doubt taking comfort from the surrounding positive energy.

Iyesha Warner works for Chiswick-based PR agency Cherish PR: “I know a few people who have been affected by the disease so I got on board to raise funds for them. It’s a very worthwhile cause and I wanted to help make a difference.’

Although the race is over the fundraising continues. Follow this link to contribute to Iyesha’s total and support Cancer Research UK’s life-saving work:
