Latest sales suggest strong demand for local homes

The latest sales for properties in W4 published by the Land Registry will provide some encouragement to local estate agents.
Volumes have continued to recover from the all-time low seen at the beginning of the year and demand seems pariticularly strong for larger houses in the area.
A property on Dukes Avenue changed hands for £2,800,000 the highest ever on that road and one of top ten prices ever for a Chiswick property.
20% of sales during the month were done at prices of £1,000,000 or higher.
The average price for a property during July was £692,254 one of the highest ever although the number of transactions is probably too small to reach firm conclusions about the level of the market.
