Strand on the Green property goes for over £6 million

The price of property in Chiswick appears to have remained at high levels with the average sale taking place at over three quarters of a million in May.
There were 44 properties sold in the W4 post code area during the month at an average price of £762,765. This is well above the level seen during the first quarter of the year which was £661,379 and suggest prices have moved back towards all-time highs in the Spring.
There were seven properties sold for over one million pounds during the month, the most expensive of which was 2, Riverside Lodge, Chiswick Mall, which became Chiswick's eighth most expensive property selling for £4,150,000.
The May data from Land Registry's House Price Index shows that London remains the best performing property market in England and Wales. The average price of a home in the capital rose by 5.0% over the year to £375,068.
For the country as a whole prices only rose by 0.5% which takes the average property value in England and Wales to £161,969.
The most up-to-date figures available show that during March 2013, the number of completed house sales in England and Wales decreased by 15 per cent to 52,090 compared with 61,334 in March 2012.
The number of properties sold in England and Wales for over £1 million in March 2013 increased by 21 per cent to 625 from 517 in March 2012.
