| Sea Cadets race ahead A creditable performance from Chiswick's navy
Despite only being ten strong, the cadets took on the bigger units and managed a credible fourth overall, only beaten by units fielding teams twice the size of Chiswick’s.
Cadet Jo Murray “Ruby” stormed through the finish line in the 100m only sadly, to be disqualified for straying into a neighbouring lane, a mistake that she will only make the once! Sunday was a red-letter day for Junior Sea Cadet Sharif Moore. “Pony” also celebrated his twelfth birthday and promotion to Senior Cadet. This occasion was marked in the traditional TS Stork manner with a soaking! Interested? Then you will find Chiswick Sea Cadets playing on the river most Sundays between 11 & 3 at the Chiswick Pier, or Wednesday nights between 7 – 9.30pm in the Pier House. Potential adult helpers are also most welcome, no experience necessary as full training is provided.
