Montessori College Wimbledon has announced the opening of their sister college, Montessori College Chiswick which will bring Montessori teacher training to West London.

The new college occupies part of the premises at 15 –19 Chiswick High Road in partnership with Playdays Day Nursery.

A light and airy room provides students with a warm and welcoming space in which to study. The room is attractively equipped with the Montessori materials, which are at the core of the training.

Their mission is to help each individual to realize their potential in pursuing the Montessori philosophy by putting them at the heart of a quality education program, which provides for the needs of the Montessori community. They offer personal attention from experienced lecturers in small groups and aim to equip students to make a positive contribution in the field of early years education.

A Montessori College Diploma opens doors to working nationally and internationally in the field of education. Diploma holders can undertake further study and move into related fields such as health, social care and teaching in non-Montessori schools.

As a Montessori Education (UK) accredited training provider Montessori College Wimbledon and Montessori College Chiswick subscribe to quality in training and follow the same learning outcomes as all other ME (UK) accredited training providers.

Montessori education is recognized across the world as providing young children with a “love of learning for life”, and the opportunity to gain independence, self-confidence and self-esteem at an early age.

Respect for the child and an understanding that for small children the process is more important than the end result are key aspects of the Montessori teacher’s approach. If you are fascinated to watch what young children do and how they do it and would like to learn more about how to support and guide children in the “doing”, Montessori teacher training may be what you are looking for.
