| Geronimo - How it Works
Geronimo is designed as a free service to ensure that good quality services. Registered members of our site send in comments about work that has been done for them.
It has been running for over four years and has had overwhelmingly positive feedback from local people.
We regard it as a 'word of mouth service' for businesses that don't normally advertise. However we do ask businesses to pay for a listing if they are also paying for advertising elsewhere. The cost is £150 plus VAT for six months and £270 plus VAT for a year. Paid listings are given a greater prominence and businesses are allowed to include a logo or picture with their listing.
For services paying to advertise we will also transcribe up to 5 comments from references from local people as well as the feedback submitted on-line.
For the more popular categories we include paid listings on the first page and put businesses using other means of promotion on the second.
Other listings are only by recommendation but we will list a Chiswick business for free if they are resident in the W4 area, registered on the site and not advertising elsewhere.
What about negative comments? If you are listed we will publish all genuine comments that are made about you - good and bad. The listings are meant to reflect the best services available locally but inevitably sometimes customers are unhappy. Users of the service say that negative comments give greater credibility to positive comments. You won't be listed if you get consistently bad comments about your service. We will remove any listing if a business requests.
