Note: Justin is no longer doing one on one guitar tuition.

For all those who have ever fancied themselves as the next Neil Young or tomorrow’s Jimi Hendrix, Justin Sandercoe is your man.  Hailing from Tasmania, Justin arrived in London in 1996 with a scholarship to study from Arts Tasmania and never looked back.

Now a Chiswick based guitarist, songwriter and producer; Justin currently divides his time between touring with Katie Melua (and whom he also teaches guitar to), performing his own music, teaching at Acton's The Guitar Institute and has instructed hundreds of students over nearly 15 years.

Amazingly Justin also finds time to teach private students from his studio on Chiswick High Road.  Surprised that he found the time for extra tuition sessions, I asked Justin what he looked for in his private students “The reason I teach is because I love it,” he explained “especially those students who really want to learn.  It’s great when someone comes to me who has a clear idea about the kind of music they want to play.”

Private lessons are available with Justin at his teaching studio in Chiswick High Road, on Saturdays and Sundays only. Lessons can be booked as a weekly or fortnightly time but the student is expected to take that same time every week. 48 hours notice for cancellation must be given or the full lesson fee must be paid. “However, I'm a reasonable guy and for emergencies or amazing excuses this may be overlooked at my discretion.” Says Justin

Lessons can also be booked as one offs, although using this method may not enable you to get your preferred time every week. Lessons cost £35 per hour and include all materials, books, CD's or whatever is needed for the lessons.

With undeniably impressive credentials – and just a hint of rebel about him – Justin, whose musical influences are Neil Young, Neil Finn and The Rolling Stones, is currently putting the finishing touches to his second EP.

Justin has played thousands of concerts around the world with a variety of acts - most recently the UK and European tours with Katie Melua - and previously The Brit Awards, The Record Of The Year, Top Of The Pops, Children In Need, The Johnny Vaughn house band, supported Bryan Adams at the Ajax Arena (Amsterdam), over 1000 shows with The Counterfeit Stones (1998-2004) including a sold out Albert Hall headline, The Shepherds Bush Empire and numerous TV and Radio appearances.

He has written and produced all the music for guitar instructional CD-ROMs available from the Charanga (Music Coach) company, available for download Master Rock Power Chords and Play Blues Guitar (enter the promotional code: JustinSandercoe for a 33% discount!) or in a shop near you. It is also included on the Teaching You Electric Guitar CD-ROM.

Justin has written and published a beginners teaching manual, Really Useful Guitar Stuff which is available from his site at www.justinguitar.com and also from Amazon.co.uk. It is used by many teachers around the world.
