Rally Against The Third Runway

3rd March: 7pm, Church House Conference Centre, Dean’s Yard, Westminster SW1P 3NZ

16 major speakers including Vince Cable MP Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills, Natalie Bennett leader Green Party, top trade unionists and business people, leading environmentalists plus local MPs Mary Macleod, Andy Slaughter, Zac Goldsmith, John McDonnell and John Randall.

This is your chance to tell the next Government what you think about a new runway. Whoever wins the May's General Election will need to decide whether to go for a third runway at Heathrow or a second runway at Gatwick.  You may have heard about the economic benefits a new runway would bring - and there would be some.  But there is not a shred of evidence that the economy of West London will suffer if it is not build.

And we all know the problems a new runway will bring:

  • MORE planes - an increase of around 250,000 per year
  • MORE people under flight paths
  • MORE traffic on the roads
  • MORE pollution problems around Heathrow
  • AND LESS relief for the many people in West London currently enjoy a half day’s break from the noise

But a new runway is far from a foregone conclusion.  The last Government failed to build one.  They were stopped by the strength of the opposition.  The rally on 3rd March is our chance to show that the opposition to expansion is still strong.

It’s free - but come early, we are expecting a lot of people!
