Brentford produced a powerful display of football to beat Leyton Orient by 5 goals to nil.

The first half was fairly even with Brentford starting the better and going one up when McGinn charged down the left channel with the ball, cut inside and fired a shot, low and at the near post. It looked like the keeper should have done better but a fine goal nonetheless.

Orient picked up their game a little and, in fact, created chances throughout the game with the diminutive Dean Cox involved in most of their best work.

Both sides wasted chances throughout the rest of the first half.

The second half saw the Bees take almost total control with Sam Saunders showing his quality from the dead ball. Firstly, with a free kick from the left finding Leon Legge to power in at the far post then a free kick from the right into the top corner, followed by another from the left, again, straight into the top corner.

There were plenty of other chances created by Brentford in the second half with Reeves and Donaldson showing excellent creativity. MacDonald probably had the easiest chance to score when he found himself with just the keeper to beat but lifted his shot over the bar.

With a couple of minutes to go Donaldson fed Bean who smashed the ball home from just inside the box to make it 5-0. Orient had a few chances in the second half but the Bees' defence and the imperious Richard Lee were equal to it.

Much of the scoreline can be attributed to dead balls from Saunders and Orient's poor defence but it was still a very enjoyable game and a richly deserved win. Orient are decent going forward so a clean sheet was another positive for the bees.

Lee; O'Connor, Legge, Osborne, Woodman; Saunders (sub Weston 76 mins), Douglas, Reeves (sub Bean 70 mins), McGinn; Donaldson, Alexander (sub MacDonald 70 mins)

Subs (not used): Moore, Eger
