The bus strike threated by the Unite union for Monday 22nd September has been called off. A statement by Transport for London (TfL) said that the decision was made after 'constructive talks' between the bus operators and the union.

The strike action was due to a row over pay and conditions with a demand being made for standardised pay across different companies.

Only services by London United Buses would have been affected.

London United operates around 50 bus routes in London and the strike action would have resulted in severe disruption on a significant number of routes and some services not running.
