“As we approach the festive period, it is a good time to think of loved ones, friends and family and the loving and kindness that is the true spirit of Christmas. My thoughts also go out to all those who alone at this time of year and those that are away from their family and friends, including those servicemen and women who are serving both in Afghanistan and all over the world," writes Mary Macleod MP.

“This year has been a significant one for me, being elected as the Member of Parliament for the people of Chiswick, Brentford, Isleworth, Osterley and Hounslow which is a tremendous privilege. It has been a very busy year and I have enjoyed meeting many of you and hearing your concerns and issues. I will continue to work hard to honour my commitments to you all as we look ahead to the New Year.

“I wish you all a safe, happy and healthy Christmas and very best wishes for 2011.”
