A 30 year old unemployed man from East London has been  charged with stabbing two police officers injured whilst carrying out checks on bus tickets in Ealing.

A 23 year old police constable and 27 year old PCSO, were attacked at 3.05pm Wednesday 15th December.

The police constable, suffered a neck wound and underwent surgery,and is in a serious but stable condition.

The police community support officer has been discharged from hospital.

The incident took place opposite the Nationwide building society branch and outside The Parish Church of Christ the Saviour - as many children were leaving school.

John Paul Onyenaychi, unemployed of Wise Road E15 will appear at Brent magistrates' Court Friday, 17 December charged with:

Two counts of attempted murder; against a PC and PCSO in Ealing on Wednesday, 15 December

One count of attempting to cause grievous bodily harm; against a second
PCSO in Ealing on Wednesday, 15 December.

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.
