|Appeal for Witnesses to Hammersmith Station Assault|
Victim of unprovoked attack suffered temporary hearing loss
The incident happened around 6.20pm on Wednesday, September 4 in the booking hall at Hammersmith London Underground station.
" The man wasn’t paying attention, so when the window became free, the victim gently tapped him on the shoulder.
" The man reacted aggressively before hitting the victim around the left hand side of his face, causing him to fall to the floor."
Officers have obtained two images of a man they want to speak to in connection with the incident, and are calling on the public to help identify him.
DC Lock says: " This was a shocking and unprovoked assault that left the man suffering from temporary hearing loss.
" We don’t tolerate violence like this anywhere on the London Underground network and I’d urge anyone who recognises the man pictured, or has any information that could help our investigation, to please contact us."
