Residents have been urged to call a dedicated hotline to make some noise over Heathrow.

The clarion call comes after Hounslow Council said it has received 4000 responses so far on its groundbreaking community consultation on the possible expansion of Heathrow Airport.

Councillor Colin Ellar, deputy leader and cabinet member for environment at Hounslow Council, said: “This is the biggest single issue effecting the borough and it’s vital residents make their voice heard over the expansion of Heathrow.

“If any Hounslow residents want more questionnaires, they can call our Heathrow hotline, T: 020 8583 2186 and we’ll send out a consultation booklet.  They can also contact us on Twitter (@LBofHounslow) or Facebook ( www.facebook.com/hounslowcouncil) to request additional copies.”

If residents call the hotline over the Bank Holiday weekend, callers can simply leave their name and address on the answer phone and a questionnaire will be sent out on Tuesday (7 May).

Community consultation roadshows have been visiting libraries and high streets, and in the next two weeks they will be at:

  • Bedfont Library, Tuesday 7 May from 10am to 2pm
  • Chiswick High Road on Wednesday 8 May from 10am to 12noon
  • Osterley Library on Thursday 9 May from 10am to 1pm
  • Hounslow Library on Thursday 9 May from 2pm to 5pm
  • Cranford Library on Monday 13 May from 10am to 2pm
  • Beavers Library on Tuesday 14 May from 10am to 2pm

The consultation closes on Thursday 16 May.
